Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest Non-Governmental Organizations of German origin and it was
founded as the National Committee for the Freedom from Hunger Campaign of the Food and Agricultural
Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1962 as a non-profit, non-political and non-denominational
organization. Currently, Welthungerhilfe has operations in about 38 countries worldwide in Africa, Asia,
and Latin America.
Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is registered with the Government of Sudan as a foreign voluntary organization
since June 1998 and is currently operational in North Darfur, Kassala, Red Sea and in Gedaref states. WHH
has been operating in North Darfur, Sudan since 2004 implementing humanitarian assistance projects as
well as developmental projects with its country office located in Khartoum. WHH receives its funding
from the Federal German Government, the European Union, USAID/OFDA, the United Nations and many
other globally recognized donors.
Within the scope of the Strengthening the peaceful coexistence of returnees, IDPs and host communities
in North Darfur, Sudan (SDN 1172), WHH started receiving funding from the German Federal Ministry
for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in October 2020.
The desired impacts of the of the BMZ project are: Sustainable improvement of water and food
availability, income and knowledge about adequate nutrition; Sustainably improved access to and use of
basic infrastructure such as access to safe water, schools and health centers and Conflict prevention and
resolution mechanisms at local level for promotion of peaceful coexistence by creating lasting social
structures in remote areas (Al Lait and Kabkabiya Localities).
Welthungerhilfe is implementing the project in partnership with SAHARI which is registered in Sudan as
a National Non-Governmental Organization, and in close coordination with, Ministries of Agriculture and
animal Resources, and the Humanitarian Aid Coordination (HAC) and locality commissioners.
Therefore, Welthungerhilfe is currently seeking a reliable, competent, and reputable organization with
adequate capacity to supply and transport 60 veterinary kits to award this tender. To implement the
planned activities Welthungerhilfe is inviting tenderers to submit a bid for the following contract:
Supply and transportation of 60 Veterinary kits to El Fasher North Darfur.
Welthungerhilfe will strictly observe the important dates in the table below to guarantee timely delivery
of this essential service to the target group. Potential bidders are also expected to strictly observe the
timelines below and failure to do so may automatically lead to disqualification from participation in the
tender process
