The Government of Sudan has received financing from the Global Environment Facility, which administered through the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project– Phase II (RLACC II)], and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Individual consultant services to facilitate Training Programs on Ecosystem and Community Based Adaptation to climate change.

The main objective of the training programs is to mainstream ecosystem and community based adaptation means and approaches in project interventions with consideration of climate change. The purpose of the training is to understanding the concept of ecosystem and community-based adaptation to climate change and equip the participants with knowledge and skills on ecosystem and community based adaptation means and approaches, Mainstreaming of community based adaptation to climate change into development planning, Identify indigenous knowledge, experiences and practices in local communities, regional level and global.

The training programs will be conducted in Khartoum, White Nile, Gadarif and Kassala States. The training is expected to commence at October 2021 and complete within 7 weeks.

Rural Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project (RLACC II) at the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resource (HCENR) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (CV, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, , etc.).
