1. The Republic of Sudan received financing from the African Development Bank, hereinafter called the Bank, towards the cost of the Capacity Building for Improved Quality of Education System and Skills Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for Procurement of Workshop Equipment & Furniture for Technical Institutes.
2. For this contract, the Borrower, the Republic of Sudan, shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
3. The Ministry of Education now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply, installation and commissioning of equipment to Thirteen (13) TVET schools in the States of Khartoum, White Nile and North Kordofan packaged in six (6) separate lots as listed below.

4. Bidders have the option to bid for any one lot or multiple of lots. The supply, installation and commission shall be completed within a period of six (6) months after contract signature.
5. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework, Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
6. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Capacity Building for the Improved Quality of Education System and Skills Development Project and inspect the bidding document during office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the address given below.
7. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fees of USD 150 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency in the Republic of Sudan. The method of payment will be direct deposit to the bank account whose detail is specified below:

8. A virtual Pre-Tender meeting will be held on Wednesday, 25^th August 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Sudan Time. The log-in link for the Pre-Tender Meeting will be sent to the bidders in due course of time.
9. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 a.m. Khartoum-Sudan time, Thursday 30^th September 2021. Electronic Bidding will NOT be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend is welcome at the address below at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday 30^th September 2021.

10. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of the amount shown corresponding to each lot in the table below.
