Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest private aid organizations in Germany. It is politically independent and non-denominational, working towards a world without hunger. Founded on 14 December 1962, it has supported 13,424 overseas projects in approximately 72 countries and territories with EUR 5.76 billion. Its work empowers people to sustainably improve their living conditions, from emergency relief to reconstruction and long-term development cooperation with national and international partners.

Welthungerhilfe has been registered with the Government of Sudan as a foreign voluntary organization since June 1998 and reports operations in North Darfur, Red Sea, Kassala, River Nile and Gedaref States. It has implemented humanitarian and development projects in Sudan since 2004.

تُعد منظمة ويلتهونغرهيلفه (Welthungerhilfe) إحدى أكبر منظمات الإغاثة الخاصة في ألمانيا، وهي منظمة مستقلة سياسياً وغير طائفية، وتسعى إلى عالم خالٍ من الجوع. ومنذ تأسيسها في 14 ديسمبر 1962، دعمت 13,424 مشروعاً خارجياً في نحو 72 دولة وإقليماً، بقيمة إجمالية بلغت 5.76 مليار يورو. وتعمل المنظمة على تمكين الأفراد من تحسين ظروفهم المعيشية بصورة مستدامة، من خلال الاستجابة السريعة للكوارث وإعادة الإعمار ومشروعات التعاون الإنمائي طويلة الأجل بالشراكة مع منظمات وطنية ودولية.

المنظمة مسجلة لدى حكومة السودان بوصفها منظمة طوعية أجنبية منذ يونيو 1998، وتعمل حالياً في ولايات شمال دارفور والبحر الأحمر وكسلا ونهر النيل والقضارف. وتنفذ المنظمة مشروعات إنسانية وتنموية في السودان منذ عام 2004.
