TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF A SOLAR PV SYSTEM AND AGRICULTURAL MASCHINES IN SUDAN

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing an energy access program in rural areas in Sudan on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The GIZ Office Nairobi invites bidders to express their interest in the Supply of a Solar PV System and Agricultural Maschines for a Solar Agriculture Service Hub serving a farmers' network in Wad El Senussi Village, located in the West Gallabat Region of Gedaref State, Sudan. The objective of the assignment is to establish an integrated hub that provides reliable renewable energy and value-added agricultural processing services to the target farming communities.

The assignment shall include the provision of a 15.4 kW turnkey solar PV system and agricultural processing equipment. The turnkey solar PV system shall comprise, but not be limited to, solar PV modules, inverters, battery storage systems, mounting structures, electrical accessories and all other components required for a fully functional and operational solar PV system. The scope of work shall include the supply, transportation, installation, testing, commissioning, operator training, and handover of the complete solar PV system.

In addition, the contractor shall supply and install agricultural processing equipment suitable for operation through the solar PV system, including but not limited to one oil press, two grain mills, two egg incubators, one refrigerator and ancillary equipment required for the operation of the Solar Agriculture Service Hub.

Interested bidders MUST meet the following eligibility requirements.

1. Business Registration Certificate or Trade License, demonstrating company registration (in Sudan or other applicable country, for instance head office in Dubai but with a branch with a valid registration in Sudan).
2. Tax Identification Number (TIN) and a Tax Clearance Certificate valid up to at least 2023 (considering market disruptions due to the conflict).
3. Evidence of active operations in Sudan, including a physical address, employees in Sudan and sales evidence in Sudan.
4. Comprehensive Company Profile, highlighting activities and operations in Sudan as well as proven experience in solar-powered agricultural productive-use systems in Sudan.
5. Active bank account and currency in USD/SDG as per the attached requirement in reference to the below.

• Confirm if you have commercial account opened and provided evidence of the same as per the attached.
• Send the financial offer in the currency of your bank account or agree to consent to conversion of your offer as required using infoeuro.
• Without the evidence of opening a commercial account, your contract will be concluded in SDG using infoeuro rates.
• Bank details to be shared as per the below details.

Only eligible bidders that meet all the requirements above will receive the further tender documents to proceed with offer submission.
