REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Terraces Raising (building small mounds of earth around farmer’s fields)

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through its Integrated Measures to Promote Rural-Urban Value Addition and Employment is currently seeking services of companies that are involved with terrace raising for improved irrigation (building small mounds of earth around farmer’s fields). These earth mounds will be implemented in the following locations in the eastern states of Gedaref and Kassala: Abouda refugee camp including host community as cluster 1 and Shagarab refugee camp including host community as cluster 2 for in total up to 600 farmers (one terraces for each farmer).

To this end GIZ requests all companies who can provide this service to submit the following documents for consideration:

a) An official letter expressing interest clearly indicating your interest to participate in this tender.

b) Comprehensive company profile with the following information; Address: City, Street, Place, Legal form, Registration body, copy of the legal registration, email address, telephone and contact person name.

c) Copy of company registration certificate and VAT Registration Certificate.

d) Provide evidence of annual company total combined minimum turnover of 35,000,000 SDG (equivalent of 92,215.00 USD or 77,433 Euros for the last three (3) years (2018, 2019 and 2020). Acceptable evidence are bank statements or stamped and sealed audited financial statement.

e) List of experience in provision of similar services of earth mound or terraces raising for irrigation purpose. List must clearly state the following information name of contract awarding company, location of works, contact person details and phone number, award value and date of completion Submission of award letters or commercial order is also highly recommended.

For consideration, all interested bidders should submit the aforementioned documents in English Language only in hardcopies in a sealed envelope to GIZ Sudan Office reception at No. 3, Amarat Street, House 28, Block 10a Khartoum, Sudan, labelled stated below:

Your complete documents should not be more than 20 pages. Only complete documents received at the physical address indicated not later than Monday 29 th March 2021 will be accepted and considered. Do not send price offers, kindly note that complete tender documents would be sent to firms that express their interest. - Non-conformity with all conditions mentioned could lead to the exclusion from the bid
