Call for Expressions of Interest to partner with Practical Action Eastern Sudan

Description:

Practical Action is an international development organization that puts ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world.

We help people find solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems, challenges made worse by catastrophic climate change and persistent gender inequality. We work with communities to develop ingenious, lasting and locally owned solutions for agriculture, water and waste management, climate resilience and clean energy. Bringing people together in old collaborations, combining knowledge with innovation to change the systems that keep people poor and vulnerable. We believe in the power of small things to change the big picture.

Practical Action is a global change-making group. The Head Quarter in UK, and registered in Sudan since 1992, working in 3 states, Blue Nile, Kassala and North Darfur.

We would like to request that the local organizations with experience and expertise in working with communities are especially encouraged to apply:

Qualification Criteria for Local Partners

Your organization non-profit association or non-governmental organization established and registered must have existed in compliance with the current legislation in its country. It must be a non-political, non-profit, independent organization and registered in Kassala.  The local partner is eligible if they have been financed at least once for a completed project successfully and have not been blacklisted by any international Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) or donor

Submission of Expression of Interest Instructions and Review Process

Through this announcement, we invite the local organizations to submit an Expression of Interest in accordance with the requirements provided here below. Please read the call for Expressions of Interest carefully.

Local Partner Selection

Applications will be assessed by an evaluation committee to identify organizations that have the mandate, capacities and comparative advantage to support the achievement of the PA vision and mission. It should be noted that participation in this Open Call for Expression of Interest does not guarantee the organization will be ultimately selected for a partnership with PA. Successful applications will be eligible for partnering with PA throughout the next Eastern Sudan Programme period (2025-2026) depending on the needs of the programme and available resources. Accordingly, selected NGOs will be invited to review and finalise partnership agreements in accordance with criteria outlined above and applicable Practical Action Partnerships policy and procedures.

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their submissions by communication sent out to the email address that is indicated in the Expression of Interest submission.

Instructions to follow

1. Documents will be submitted in an electronic format. They must be scanned and uploaded to the following email address: Sudan.tender@practicalactionsd.org
2. Please note that Practical Action will not accept applications or supporting documentation by hand delivery.
3. Organizations that wish to participate in this Open Call for Expression of Interest are requested to send their submissions with complete attachments and sent by email with the Subject clearly marked “Local Partners Open Call for Expression of Interest at the following email address: Sudan.tender@practicalactionsd.org
4. The deadline for submitting Call for Expressions of Interest documents is March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM, through the above mentioned email address.
5. The applicant must refer to the requirement terms and conditions before submitting.
6.  Submitted tender documents will not be returned.
7.  Any applicant who does not meet the above requirements will be disqualified from the competition.
