The Government of Sudan has received financing from the Global Environment Facility being administered through the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project – Phase II (RLACC II)], and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this financing to payments under the contract for Individual Consultant services to carry out study to Identify Best Alternative Energy Option for Targeted Communities.

 

The purpose of the assignment is to study energy situation and gabs on the study areas and map out the potential energy resources to strength and sustain pastoral and agro-pastoral livelihoods in-light of climate change adaptation. The study will cover the project targeted communities/villages at states of Gadarif (Gadambalia), Kassala (Aroma) and White Nile (Eddweim locality-Baja Area).

 

The assignment is expected to commence on February 2021 and complete within 8 weeks.

 

Rural Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project (RLACC II) at the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resource (HCENR) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to perform the services (CV, certificates, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.).

 

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operation, October 2015 edition, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
