The Government of Sudan has received financing from the Global Environment Facility being administered through the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project– Phase II (RLACC II)], and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this financing to payments under the contract for consultancy services of Procurement Consultant/ Advisor.

The purpose of the consultancy services is to provide support, guidance, assistance and overseeing the overall activities pertaining to the procurement of works, goods and consulting services in accordance with the Bank’s Procurement Policy. The Consultancy services also aims at strengthening the procurement capacity of the relevant units involved in the implementation of the project through providing training and advices.

The assignment is expected to commence on 1^st February 2021 and will cover duration of 6 months with possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.

Rural Livelihood’s Adaptation to Climate Change in the Horn of Africa project (RLACC II) at the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resource (HCENR) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide CV including information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to perform the services (documents, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.).

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operation October 2015 edition, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
