Action Against Hunger tackles the causes and effects of hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable children, women, and men. Established in France in 1979, Action Against Hunger is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization.
Action Against Hunger Sudan is issuing this request for expression of interest to identify local partners that will increase and scale up the impact of our interventions in Sudan. The purpose of this General Call for Expression of Interest is to identify eligible NGOs registered, already established and having operations, an interest in and the resources to implement humanitarian response, resilience and development projects in Sudan.

Types of Partners we are seeking
Organizations with experience and expertise in working with one or more of the following sectors: Health, Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and Protection - Gender Based Violence (GBV)
Organizations with experience and with operations in the following states: Blue Nile State, Darfur State - East, North, South and West, Red Sea State, South Kordofan State and White Nile State.
Organizations with experience and expertise in working with one or more of the following vulnerable groups are especially encouraged to apply:
Qualification Criteria for Local Partners
Your organization non-profit association or non-governmental organization established and registered must have existed for at least three years in compliance with the current legislation in its country. It must be a non-political, non-profit, independent organization. The local partner is eligible if they have been financed at least once for a completed project successfully and have not been blacklisted by any international Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) or donor
Submission of Expression of Interest Instructions and Review Process
Through this announcement, we invite financial institutions to submit an Expression of Interest in accordance with the instructions provided here below. Please read the call for Expressions of Interest carefully.
Documents will be submitted in an electronic format. They must be scanned and uploaded to the following email address partnership-sd@sd.acfspain.org. Please note that Action Against Hunger will not accept applications or supporting documentation by hand delivery.
Organisations that wish to participate in this Open Call for Expression of Interest are requested to send their submissions with complete attachments and sent by email with the Subject clearly marked “Local Partners Open Call for Expression of Interest – ACF SUDAN LP 01/2024” at the following email address: partnership-sd@sd.acfspain.org
OR delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Local Partners Open Call for Expression of Interest – ACF LP 01/2024 at the following address: Action Against Hunger, Block 12#, building 14#, Dem Madina West, Port Sudan, Attention: Waleed Eisa , Human Resource and Administrative Officer.

Local Partner Selection
Applications will be assessed by an evaluation committee to identify organizations that have the mandate, capacities and comparative advantage to support the achievement of the ACF vision and mission. It should be noted that participation in this Open Call for Expression of Interest does not guarantee the organization will be ultimately selected for a partnership with ACF. Successful applications will be eligible for partnering with ACF throughout the next Country Programme period (2024-2025) depending on the needs of the programme and available resources. Accordingly, selected NGOs will be invited to review and finalise partnership agreements in accordance with criteria outlined above and applicable Action Against Hunger Partnerships policy and procedures.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their submissions by communication sent out to the email/postal address that is indicated in the Expression of Interest submission.
