Supply of local improved & certified seeds for SIPRA Gedaref project

1. Technical Specifications:

All varieties of the required seeds should meet the following criteria and conditions:

• High-yield potential seeds.
• High quantity and quality assurance (high seeds’ purity and germination rates, genetic purity, free from pests and diseases, “certification may require”).
• Drought tolerant varieties.
• Early-medium matured varieties.
• High resistant to pests, diseases, water logging, etc.
• Sustainable to local growing conditions.

2. Conditions & Requirements:

• All required quantities of sorghum, millet, and sesame must be chemically treated/dressed by suitable and recommended rodenticide, pesticide, insecticide (to prevent the planted seeds from the attacks of the potential subsoil pests e.g., termites, rodents, and other insects).
• The dresser used should be environmentally safe and harmless to human beings, soil, ecosystem, and the biodiversity.
