The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH; “The German Biosecurity Programme, initiated by the Federal Foreign Office, aims to support partner countries in improving the control of biologically relevant safety and security risks. In this context GIZ is looking for a consultant to facilitate a workshop in cooperation with an international expert in biowaste management. The core purpose of the assignment is to primarily take on the role of a facilitator during the training and act as a link between an international expert and the learning group of the NPHL (National public Health Laboratory) and to support the group in developing final SoPs as a result of the training.

This service contract will involve the following deliverables but is not limited to: A) Preparation of the hybrid workshop in cooperation with the international Consultant B) Co-moderate the workshop the international Consultant C) Prepare, moderate and facilitate the group work sessions. D) Review the group work, help prepare the presentation of each group’s results. E) Support the international facilitator in other related tasks not specified above if required. (Tasks and deliverables may be subject to change and/or may be further specified when cooperating with the international expert. Additional tasks may be added.)

Accordingly, GIZ invites interested service providers to provide GIZ Sudan with the following:

• a. An official letter expressing interest clearly indicating your interest to participate in this tender. This letter must be in English (Max 1.5 Pages, Arial font size14) indicating your expert field from the thematic areas stated above including your availability in September and October 2022 for the assignment.
• b. Comprehensive CV with the following information: Education, general professional experience, specialized professional experience, experience workshop/ training facilitation and language skills (Arabic and English). Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. public health, biology, pharmacy, medicine, epidemiology or equivalent) or alternatively degree in humanities is an asset but not a requirement.
• c. List of experiences in provision of similar services with the following information: Title of assignment/contract, contact details (name, address, phone number, email address) of awarding firm/individual/organization. This document must be in English (Max 2.0 Pages, Arial font size14). GIZ Sudan office might share your CVs with other GIZ requesting offices.

For consideration, all interested bidders should submit the aforementioned documents in English Language only in hardcopies in a sealed envelope to GIZ Sudan Office reception at No. 3, Amarat Street, House 28, Block 10a Khartoum, Sudan, labelled stated below:
